You want a marvelous tattoo done by professional tattoo artists in a serene environment? Welcome to Zen Tattoo!
To get tattooed is a very fun experience, but it can also be stressful for newcomers. Here are some key points for those that aren’t familiar with the world of tattooing.
1) The price of a tattoo is always estimated by an artist at the shop. We do not give estimations by phone, nor by Facebook, nor by email. You need to stop by the shop to know the price of a tattoo.
2)To get a tattoo you must be 18 years old or older!
We know that tattoos are now considered cool for kids, but we do not tattoo minors! Occasionally, we will tattoo a 16-17 years old if the parents are ready to sign our consent form. .
BUT NOTE that each artist reserves the right to refuse to tattoo a minor (even if the parent is consenting). We do not tattoo minors at visible places and we do not do large tattoos on them (more than one hour). Here is an example of the kind of tattoo we would accept to do on a minor: His mother is deceased and he want her name on a small not-too-visible place on his body. We will do it with pleasure because we know it's not something the person will regret. If he wants a tattoo of a music note because he likes music... He can probably wait till he's 18 years old!
To take an appointment:
To take an appointment, you must stop by the shop because we ask for a deposit. For large or specific projects, we ask to meet you during a consultation first (for more information on the consultation please read the next section). We don’t take tattoo appointment by phone unless we have time during the day (walk-in).
If you have any questions, you can call 450-933-9398 or stop by the shop. It will be a pleasure to help you!
We do consultations from Wednesdays to Sundays at 11h30. Take the time to look at the portfolios of our different artists to choose the one that is most suitable for your project. If you don’t know which one to choose, stop by the shop with your project and the receptionist will tell you which artist is most suitable for your project. Once you know which artist you want, we can schedule you an appointment for a consultation with him.
The consultation is free, it gives you 30 minutes with the artist to discuss and look at your images. The artist will then give you an estimation of time and cost of your tattoo. If you are interested, he will give you his next availabilities and he will take all that has been discussed to make a drawing of your next tattoo.
NOTE: The drawing will only be available the day of the tattoo appointment (unless of an agreement with the artist), no drawings are sent through Facebook nor email.
To take an appointment or to make a drawing, we ask for a deposit. The price of the deposit varies according to the complexity of the tattoo. The minimum price of the deposit is 40$ and the whole deposit will be deduced from the price of the tattoo, once finished. The deposit assures us of your full participation in the tattoo process and also avoids us to work with people who aren’t serious.
Deposit prices :
The deposit is NOT-REFUNDABLE, but will be deducted from the last tattoo session. To avoid losing your deposit, be sure to contact us at least 48h in advance to move or cancel your appointment. If we do not hear from you in the 48h prior to your tattoo appointment or if you do not show up at your appointment, the deposit will be cashed in by the artist who has taken the time to prepare you project.
Getting ready for the consultation:
The first step before coming at the shop is knowing what you want! A tattoo is for life; therefore, we can’t decide the subject of what you want. We can suggest the style or the design but not the subject. Do a research by using Google image or another website. You need a main subject and if necessary secondary object or a background, but we can help with the secondary subject and background. Prepare a file with references images on paper or on a USB key and bring everything to the artist on the day of your consultation.
The day of your tattoo appointment:
The tattoo artist will present to you his drawing. If there is need to do some modifications, he will do them on the spot (we always leave extra time to do touch-ups). If the modifications are major, he might suggest to take another appointment to make a second drawing. Once the design is approved he shall start the tattoo!
If you have any questions you can call at the shop (450) 933-9398 or you can stop by the shop.
See you soon! :)
