What are ear curations?

We see them everywhere online in blogs or fashion inspiration apps and we hear about them all the time! It’s a trend that does not slow down, and actually rises up in popularity: we are talking about ear curations. Curated ears are not simply a bunch of piercing on the same ear, but rather placements and pieces of jewelry carefully chosen to make a real masterpiece. A curated ear doesn’t necessarily need a maximum amount of piercing, but with so many possibilities and options to choose from, where to start?

First and foremost, it’s going to be important to find a reputable piercer whom you can trust and who will be able to guide and advise you on all the piercing and jewelry possibilities depending on your anatomy. To know more about this subject, we invite you to read our blog on the importance of anatomy in piercings. Know that this step is the most important since it’s this piercer that will guide you throughout the duration of your project. What will follow will be the longest part since ear piercings can take between two months, up to a year to heal completely. Since the recommended maximum piercings done in one sitting is between two and four piercings, this step will require lots of patience and care.

Then, the fun part: choosing the theme of your curation. From the color of the stones to the color of the metal, the possibilities are infinite! Depending on the company you’ll choose, it’s always possible to have a jewelry custom made for you, by you! Your piercer can also help and guide you towards what’s best for you and your anatomy while pleasing your ear curation expectations. Note that all the jewelry must be of a good and safe quality, especially if they’re still healing. Otherwise, we can also upgrade your jewelry in already existing and healed piercings.

Finally, know that the number of desired piercings as well as the brand of the chosen pieces of jewelry are making this a long-term and an expensive project as well. It is therefore always a better idea to consult with your piercer and discuss all the information there is to know before starting an ear curation.
